Professional coaching
with James Scott
Coaching for you or for people across your organization, not just the top floor. Every conversation creates an opportunity to think differently and decide what comes next.

How people find James
“You should have a chat with James.”
For 25 years, that's how people ended up talking to him. Colleagues sent colleagues, often with no other context. Usually they were trying to make sense of something complicated, make a decision, or simply needed someone who would listen, ask good questions and offer an honest perspective.
James Scott Founder, BearMac Coaching & Leadership
For people with decisions to make, changes to navigate, or room to grow.
Coaching gives you an independent space to think things through, challenge assumptions, explore possibilities and find clarity about what matters to you.

For your whole team
Teams
When talented people aren't working together as effectively as they could. Decisions get revisited, responsibilities become unclear, and conversations that need to happen don't. The capability is there, but something is getting in the way of the team working well together.

Leaders
Your role has grown, and how you lead needs to grow with it. Work out where you really add value, where you create dependency without noticing, and what you can let go of.

Founders
You're building something, or you've already built it. You're wearing multiple hats, juggling competing priorities, and trying to keep sight of the bigger picture. James has been there himself. He understands what it's like and can help you slow things down, see the whole picture, and focus on what matters most right now.
1:1 coachingEvery conversation ends with a next step.
Not a framework. Not homework from a binder. Something worth taking away, whether that's a decision, a different perspective, or something to think about further. What you take from the conversation, and what you choose to do with it, is yours.
“James provides a non-judgmental space and asks insightful questions that help me explore beyond my current perspective. I leave each session feeling clearer, with something meaningful to reflect on and a tangible action to take forward.”
Serious work.
No need to be miserable doing it.
“You just get it.” “You're so much fun to work with.”The feedback James hears most
He's spent much of his career building businesses, developing practices, and leading teams across industries and around the world, including years at Deloitte helping organizations work through complex challenges.
For much of that career, his job was to provide answers. Coaching taught him a different approach: notice what he sees, challenge directly, and leave the answers and decisions with you. Truth and trust, your decisions.
